A couple of months ago I was into watching old classical
movies from the 40s, 50s and 60s with distinctive beautiful actresses whom one of them is Audrey
Hepburn.
At first, I did a lot of reading through Wikipedia for her biography and movie
references. Breakfast at Tiffany’s was
one of her biggest and iconic role throughout her career and landed an Oscar award
in her hand.
However, the trivia as well as controversy about this movie was
one thing, the writer whom his book the movie was based on, wanted
Marilyn Monroe (who eventually declined out of fear for bad reputation due to
the role background) to portray the main character and hated Audrey for taking the role. Anyway, I will not discuss this any further nor the story of the movie but
only the costumes worn by Audrey in the 60s styles dress and coat, also the
other woman in the story who got a very interesting coats.
Most of the times she wore this iconic black sleeveless
dress with variation of either long hand gloves, signature big shades/eye glasses, white scarf
or several types of hat. Other than that she mostly use gentle color coats,
dress, shirt and sleek long pants and jeans. I also noticed the other woman in
the story wore several nice blazer and coats matched with elegant turban or other hats.
Somehow I like the color tones in all wardrobes of this movie, it was so oldie but Goldie.
I screen-captured from the movie for the clothes for
referring to what I’ve written above while singing the famous "Moon river" song.
