Personal comment: (UPDATED 2015) It's about fashion world indeed but more focus on the struggle of a woman to become a famous fashion runaway/ catwalk model. For nowadays Indian movies and characters, it's no less from bright and shiny color, also songs and sexy girls as one of its typical trademark. According to the director of the movie, the story is inspired from real life and bitter truth in the back stage of those who worked in fashion. I like the songs, the story, the characters but there's not much to see from the clothes, or perhaps those weren't my taste. In addition, the way the main character pursued her career and live her life didn't offer a positive vibe to the audience. As much as big dream and ambition that you have in mind, for me personally it doesn't have to sacrifice your precious life to turn yourself to be someone worse with all the drugs, alcohol, and hedonism way of life just to fit in with the community.
There's always a good and straight way to achieve things better. It may require longer time but the result would be more satisfying and great for ourselves to enjoy. Money can't buy you happiness but only temporarily illusion if you forget your root and moral values.
